The touristic potential of the area, although not fully exploited, is impressive. With its very special mountain landscapes, natural reservations and other protected areas of national and local interests (The Somesul Rece canyon, The Dumitresei keys, The Racatau canyon and much more), traditional architecture monuments (The Jesus Resurection wooden church from Muntele Rece - Cold Mountain - from 18th century), the lakes of Somesul Rece, Dumitreasa and Racatau, the tourist area of Blajoaia and last but not not least the ethno-folkloric potential well preserved, the Maguri - Racatau commune is heading, with shy but steady steps towards an economy sustained by the development of local tourism, taking full advantage of the local resources and opportunities. So, apart from our guesthouse, two more guesthouses and many more vacation houses being available for tourists in this area.

At the guesthouse


The guesthouse is fitted with many features available to tourists, such as: footbal court, voley court, one basketball panel, table tennis (covered), wooden tent with benches, inflatable pool, chimney (which can be arranged also as a sleeping place for one couple). Also, on the Somesul Rece stream, we built a pool out of natural materials (boulders and wood) to protect the natural environment and provide our tourists with a pool having a natural look & feel. For nights, we have a camp-fire place, with sitting places around it.

When the weather is not very friendly, we have a TV sattelite dish, offering a staggering 800 sattelite TV stations to choose from.

Tracks

Tracks available in this area are suitable for all ages, ranging from the simplest and easiest ones to complex tracks, for experienced trakkers.

Ski

There are a number of 20 pairs of skis available for tourists, with full gear: boots, skis, etc. There are few natural ski tracks around the guesthouse, waiting for winter-sports enthusiasts.

Team-Building

On request, we can provide full-catering for companies organizing a team-building session at our guesthouse. Advance negotiation is required, as kitchen personnel must be rented and supplies for the requested number of tourists must be purchased. Accommodation fees do not include the fees for kitchen personnel.

Fees

Currently, the fee is 30 RON (~10EUR or ~1.2USD)) / person / night. Fee includes: full access to all features, woods for fire and heating the room (regardless of the season). Fee do not include kitchen personnel. For tema-building, the fees are negotiable, depending on the client demands. No extra fees required for pets.
